Thanks to Maroondah City Council, we were able to purchase thera bands for our swimmers to use at training.
As our club has been growing and our synchro swimmers have started training more hours and going on training camps, we have noticed an increase in preventable injuries. One of the most common injuries in synchro is shoulder, hip and knee issues from overuse and muscle imbalance. As we now have resistance bands, we can begin teaching effective injury prevention exercises to our swimmers from the moment they join our club. This will ensure sport excellence in the future.
