OUR PEOPLE
PRATEETI SABHLOK
Founder
Prateeti started Synchro at age 10 after she got bored of swimming laps.
She has competed for Australia at the World Cup in 2014, and at numerous National competitions throughout her career. She currently still swims in our Masters squad.
Prateeti has been awarded various awards for her volunteering, most notably the 2019 Victorian Premier's Volunteer Champions in Impact Category. She has participated in FINA run artistic swimming coaching and judging courses.
RUBY ARTER
Founder
Ruby started Synchro at age 13 following many years of dance.
She competed at National Synchronized Swimming Competitions from 2009-2014.
Synchro has allowed her to perform at many corporate events and feature in promotional material for MIMCO, a music video for Owl Eyes, and partake in an all night swim for White Night Melbourne.
Ruby started coaching in 2015 to spread her love of the sport.
BARBARA SCHEMBRI
Treasurer
Barbara is an important mentor and advisor to this young club.
Barbara has been an important part of Victorian Synchro for decades and is knowledgeable about all aspects of the sport.
Barbara was the 2018 Whitehorse Volunteer of the Year and is an Artistic Swimming Victoria Life Member.
She is an official and ex-judge at local competitions.
COMMITTEE
Eastern Sirens is a volunteer-run club, and we are thankful to all of those who take an active role (no matter how big or small the role is) to ensure the club runs smoothly.
