How long have you been with Eastern Sirens?

I have been with Eastern Sirens Synchronised Swimming for one and a half years.

Why did you join and what do you like abut artistic swimming?

I learned gymnastics and swimming when I was young, and I enjoy both of them very much. Then one day after my swimming lesson, I was doing handstands in the water. My mum looked up artistic swimming and found a club called Eastern Sirens. I had a trial lesson just after my eighth birthday. One thing I like about artistic swimming is spinning upside down and doing the splits in the water. I also like making friends with the other swimmers, especially when we are practising our routine.

What has your journey been like so far? Have there been any challenges?

My journey has been fun, exciting, hard and a little bit scary. I have been in a few competitions, including the state competition last season. Some challenges are holding my breath for a long time, staying in sync with the other swimmers, and not looking at the other people when I am practising.

What are you looking forward to this season?

This year, I am looking forward to going to the State Championships and the National Championships in Perth with brand-new music and routines. Hopefully, after the competitions, I will get to see my favourite animal, the quokka, at Rottnest Island!
