Congratulations to Charlotte and Natasha who represented Eastern Sirens this month at the New Zealand Synchronised Swimming National Championships. They put in a lot of hard work to perfect their routines and came home with a bronze medal in the 13-15 Duet! Well done! They also pre-swum Junior Tech Duet and Charlotte competed in 13-15 Solo (placing 4th).
Maroondah City Council recently has helped to fun our club's new underwater speaker. This will enhance our swimmers/coaches experience. Sound quality will be much better above and below the water. This will help the synchronization of our routines. Furthermore, a new speaker model will not be as heavy to carry from the storeroom to pool deck for coaches.
The total of the underwater system and PA system will total $4000 and Maroondah City Council has provided us with $500 to go towards those costs. The rest of the fund will be raised through fundraising.

What an experience! Nationals 2018 occurred in Brisbane over the Easter Weekend. Eastern Sirens attended as one of the youngest clubs. This was our club's second National Championships and our first Nationals with two duets and a combo routine. We had a total of 8 competitors (including Ruby and Prateeti as coaches and Prateeti as a judge). Thankyou to Eva for being our team manager and volunteering throughout the Championships.
We had some personal bests at the National Championships and will come back next year with even more improvement! Good job girls!! Fantastic learning experience and an honour to compete at the biggest competition for synchronised swimming in Australia.
Big congratulations to Charlotte for being selected to the 13-15 Nation...
Eastern Sirens competed yesterday (March 3rd 2018) at the Victorian State Championships. It was a busy day from 10:30am in the morning at MSAC until 7pm at night but it was amazing for coaches, swimmers and parents to see all the hard work over the past year pay off. So much improvement from everyone! This was only our second ever State Championships and it was great to see what everyone had accomplished together. We also had a great special performance from our recreational swimmers.

A big congratulations to Charlotte Smith (pictured first left) of Eastern Sirens who recently competed free team and figures at the 2017 Comen Cup in Portugal. We couldn't be any more proud of how hard she has worked, being able to face up to all the challenges a national team brings. Eastern Sirens is excited to see what the future holds!
After lots of preparation, we have finally been able to begin Adult specific synchro sessions for beginners to those who have had a bit of past synchro experience. We will begin by working on a short routine and learning basic synchro skills with competitive and display opportunities in the future.
